ASEAN Ambassadors are interested in Joint Projects with our Higher Education Institutions.

Shamsudin Abdullah,Ambassador of Malaysia in México, and as a spokeperson representing the 10 ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations)Countries, expressed that Education is vital for the proper development of States," Durango has all the potential to grow through knowlwdge, and in Malaysia we want to establish a long lasting relation with the education sector of this State".

This was said during a FORUM, where the representatives of ASEAN met with the Minister of Education of Durango, Ing Hector Arreola Soria. Presently we have more than 50 thousand students from abroad studying in our Universities, thus the reason for our interest in joint education projects.

Mr Nguyen Duc Minister of the Vietnam Embassy pointed out that México understands now much better the importance of commercial trade with Asia. " We would like to increment business with you, and this promotional trip to Durango is a great oportunity to do so", he concluded.
